The rapid advances in interactive technologies and especially in entertainment technologies, as well as the widespread use of interactive virtual environments and computer games, both for entertainment and for serious purposes (e.g. education, news), is undoubtedly the right planning and effective development of such systems require the in-depth study and understanding of the background of the respective scientific areas. For this reason, there is a need for academic programs that provide the necessary scientific background for students wishing to become professionals and researchers in the field of computer games and interactive technologies.<\/p>\n
